You ask Michelle if she's... cool... with these particular arms.

"Hell yeah," she says. "Gimme the space arms."

And so, after syncing with Dr. Finch, you work on safely, painlessly, and carefully excising what's left of Michelle's arms... and adding the ones you acquired from the tradesmen. As Dr. Finch suggested, everything lines up fine--the arms have bone, proper circulatory systems, nerves... everything they would have had if they were bioprinted. ...They're just... strange. Even as you're mending the arms to Michelle's body, and working your blood through their fabricated veins, you can feel the difference. The material is all made to look and feel biological... but it's clearly not. The seams and artificial connections are only apparent on close inspection, but they're definitely there. It's like someone went a stage beyond bioprinting and genetic engineering, and started making... better tissue.

It takes a while, but having done this once before with Elizabeth, you're not going in completely blind this time. You eventually get Michelle's arms attached.

She moves them around, moving her fingers, making a fist, and so on.

"Man... that's weird," she says. "They feel lighter, I guess? Like there's not as much in my arms."

You assure her that it's all definitely there, the musculature just isn't... made of musculature.

You start to go in for a hug, but she holds up a hand. "If these got super strength or somethin', we need to test it first. Caius?"

Caius nods, and approaches. Michelle hugs Caius.

"Feels like a normal hug to me," Caius replies.

Michelle, reassured, then gives you a hug. It does, in fact, feel like a pretty normal hug. You also give a hug to Caius, and to the miniature you (you get her to return the hug, prompting some stifled giggling from Michelle). ...And since you're here, you give a hug to Fuse, and Dr. Finch. It's been a long day.

You approach Elizabeth.

"I'm not going to hug you back."

You hug her anyway.

With everyone thoroughly hugged, you clear the way for the tradesmen information ritual. You do the incantation, smoke fills the room... and you find yourself back in the presence of the tradesmen.

You ask what the Nil destruction ritual did to Michelle and Caius.

"Unfortunately, we still cannot effectively price a question that you already have the answer to."

Good. That confirms the only damage was what you noticed to their arms and hand, respectively.

You ask the tradesmen how much you can effectively let Jury know about magic without negative effects.

"We can answer this question in exchange for one of your damaged sets of bone armor. ...The set that Caius was previously wearing."

Agree to the trade. We were going to replace that anyhow.
Archon 24th Apr 2018, 8:47 PM edit delete reply
Eh. Fairly cheap, really. Can just make a new one later.

Archon 24th Apr 2018, 8:53 PM edit delete reply
Oh, while we're here..

Would the entity/entities contracted to create the arms be willing to teach?
Heroshima 24th Apr 2018, 9:08 PM edit delete reply
We could possibly get a +1 to Fleshsmithing.
Swagner 24th Apr 2018, 10:29 PM edit delete reply
Anything we could do to ensure that we get comparable "goods" in the future would also work. So far, though, the tradesmen seem eager to make sure we're pleased with the transactions.

Pay the bone armor price. Ask if there are any negative side effects to michelle's new arms. Ask if the enemy are going to guard the tunnels more now that we've used them to escape. Ask what is the most lethal threat in the hackers location.
Guest 24th Apr 2018, 9:11 PM edit delete reply
Yep yep what he said. All that he said.
chaosblitz 24th Apr 2018, 10:20 PM edit delete reply
I agree we should ask all of these, but the last one's probably going to be super expensive. Maybe we could ask HOW dangerous the most dangerous thing is? or how to infiltrate the place with the least amount of danger (specifically death or maiming)?
GivingTree 24th Apr 2018, 11:19 PM edit delete reply
We should also ask for our memory of mom and dad back/a method of getting those memories back. They're just a particular type of information after all.
RemnantSoul 24th Apr 2018, 8:48 PM edit delete reply
I say we let them have the armor, we can always make more later.
Fishbulb 24th Apr 2018, 8:50 PM edit delete reply
That seems like a simple enough price to pay, since Jane can always make more bone armor.

How many questions are we asking this time? I'd like to ask "Are the hackers aware that we know where they are?" and probably a bunch of other questions that I can't think of at the moment.
Reiko Lupus 24th Apr 2018, 9:08 PM edit delete reply
Only the armor? Damn, that's cheap XD. Take it!

My questions:
-Is the bone armor the Price because is cheap, or it indeed has value?
-What is in the First Challenge of the Bunker X?
-Can they tell us what we are going to get with the other Ritual before doing it?
-How Thale was able to make that arm grow from aparently nothing?
-Are the hackers aware that we know where they are?
-What is the most dangerous threat in the hideout of the hackers?
-Did Thale what we think he did when he made that arm grew bigger from aparenting nothing?
GivingTree 24th Apr 2018, 9:13 PM edit delete reply
You're a little fixated on the arm. There's no need to ask, we basically know what he did. He grew an oversynced brain in the arm so that it was 'Thale' and then was able to transfer his own biomass to it.
Yuki 24th Apr 2018, 9:17 PM edit delete reply
I thought we already learned the answer about how Thale made the monster arm - he took material from other people who had already become him from oversynching.
Reiko Lupus 24th Apr 2018, 9:22 PM edit delete reply
That's based in what WE know we can do, and for extensión, what Thale must be doing. But that man has been playing with this powers for Maybe generations.
What if he is doing something that we don't understand?
It is a POSSIBILITY. With this question, I simply want to be sure if his limitations are were we think they are. And if they aren't... Then we can make it work for our side XD.
pkrankow 24th Apr 2018, 9:40 PM edit delete reply
We will either get a stock answer about knowing the answer, or a cost. Either answer has considerable value just for asking. Yes, ask about how Thale did the arm thing. I expect

"Unfortunately, we still cannot effectively price a question that you already have the answer to."
Reiko Lupus 24th Apr 2018, 9:43 PM edit delete reply
And even if they really ask for a Price, we don't need to pay it. Knowing that there is a Price for it is enough XD.
And if the Price is high... Well, that could be REALLY interesting and REALLY problematic.
Heroshima 24th Apr 2018, 9:11 PM edit delete reply
I just realized that we haven't spoken to our red in a while. Maybe contact her once this ritual is over?
Blue_Elite 24th Apr 2018, 10:05 PM edit delete reply
We've unfortunately been really, really busy. I've been meaning to speak with her since The Library basically said, "I'm trusting you never to go full-on eldritch." That and everything else with learning actual magic, Mom's Red praising us for our humanity, etc. It means our Red will never be going full eldritch, and we should get her opinion on that.

Buuuut that all might have to wait until the whole Thale's hackers matter is resolved. We're going to be X-TREMELY tired after the question ritual, making 2+ bone armours, and maybe working further on Elizabeth (this not even taking into account having already fixed Michelle's arms and the whole hospital plus Nil ritual incident earlier today).
chaosblitz 24th Apr 2018, 10:25 PM edit delete reply
yeah, but even if we're super tired we could still take 5 minutes to meditate and let our brain (which we Are Not Thinking About) talk to our blood for a bit. It's not like the guys on mars (who we kinda need to move somewhere, honestly, we sorta forgot about them) who are harder to talk to since their a bit farther away. (we have so many people we've been neglecting and I feel SO BAD about it!!)
GivingTree 24th Apr 2018, 10:29 PM edit delete reply
Red is us, she won't mind not stretching thin as long as we don't mind it. It doesn't mean denying our heritage, it just means not initiatiing the end of all thing and simultaneously the perpetuation of all things.
Madd 24th Apr 2018, 9:14 PM edit delete reply
Agree to that trade, we could easily make another better bone set.

If it's not too rude maybe ask what they do with the more memorabilia-like items.

Ask where the best place to hide the soulgun is.

Ask if we have all we need to stop Thale's tunnels if we cannot take out the hackers successfully.

Ask if we could contact who made the arms we traded for.

And We should talk to Red when we are done.
Swagner 24th Apr 2018, 10:32 PM edit delete reply
Perhaps we could also ask them if there are any other services they sell that would be useful to us?
Yuki 24th Apr 2018, 9:20 PM edit delete reply
Ah, hugs, the best kind of therapy. I think Elizabeth is warming to Jane a bit considering she actually pointed out she wasn't going to hug back, but didn't deny the hug.

Glad to know Caius and Michelle will be fine. The armor is a good trade for that answer about Jury.
pkrankow 24th Apr 2018, 9:42 PM edit delete reply
Our Red is no longer a separate entity... but try we should.
Blue_Elite 24th Apr 2018, 10:09 PM edit delete reply
Oh Elizabeth, maybe one day you will.
And ya, that price is great for that info. Would be good to know exactly what secrets we should and should not keep from Jury.

I've got nothing to add question-wise but would like to warn this ritual tends to be consuming and we still need to make new bone armour for the assault on the hackers tomorrow (2 minimum, plus possibly 1 more for Fuse assuming he's not too weirded out to refuse putting it on).
We should really keep the questions to a minimum this time around (stuff about the Nil ritual side-effects and anything pertaining to the hackers/attack on them would be good immediate info to get).
Guest 24th Apr 2018, 10:16 PM edit delete reply
Another thing to consider is asking if the tradesmen would like to offer a trade for anything. It might get us stuff we haven't thought of, as well as ditch other things we don't need.
Crestlinger 24th Apr 2018, 10:30 PM edit delete reply
How many other robots does Carpenter currently have operational?
Price for access codes to that satellite Lydia was interested in.
Price for contact with those other entities supporting us?
Reiko Lupus 24th Apr 2018, 10:43 PM edit delete reply
Those... Are excelent quiestions. Even one can greatly help us XD. And because of that, they probably costs lifes...
psychoshen 24th Apr 2018, 10:45 PM edit delete reply
That trade seems like a good deal to me. Plus the tradesmen learning from the armor (this is an assumption) would be good for us when we eventually want to trade up.
We should double check to make sure the hackers didn't catch on to what we were up to, if the price isn't too steep.

We should also check the news to see what they're saying about the incident at the hospital. Did they identify us? Are they looking for more information? Can we tip them off about the bioprinters and hackers now? We could possibly ask the Tradesmen, but it might be cheaper to just find out for ourselves.
